Tour Overview

• Date: Saturday 19th September 2026
• Meeting Point: Knighton, Powys, 09:45 (welcome, introduction, and safety briefing)
• Finish: Around 16:30 near the Elan Valley
• Price: £120 per vehicle per day (including VAT)

Itinerary

• Begin in Knighton with a group welcome and safety briefing.
• Drive through Shropshire and Mid Wales into the Cambrian Mountains.
• Enjoy a wilderness lunch stop (please bring your own packed lunch).
• Finish near the beautiful Elan Valley.

• Led by an experienced and qualified 4×4 instructor with over 35 years’ experience
• Support/lead vehicle, fully equipped for recovery
• Garmin InReach GPS beacon for safety
• PMR/CB radios supplied for all participants
• Excellent local knowledge and guidance throughout the day

Suitability & Requirements

• Route Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Suitable for vehicles with low range and minimum All Terrain tyres. Please ask if you’re unsure about your vehicle’s suitability.
• Participants: Individuals, couples, groups, and families welcome.
• Dog Friendly: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead for most routes.
• Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch for the wilderness stop.
• Vehicle Notice: Light scratching or minor damage (e.g., to alloy wheels) is possible due to the nature of the adventure.
• Weather: Conditions can change, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Booking & Payment

• How to Book: Full payment is required to secure your booking. Gift vouchers are also available.
• Deposits: Deposit payment options are only available on UK 5-day and overseas tours.
• Cancellations: All deposits are non-refundable. No cancellations or changes can be made with less than 21 days’ notice. Please see full terms and conditions for details.
